Fernandez to cut ribbons on RD$1.3B in works in the northeast

Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez will cut ribbons in San Francisco de Macorís (northeast) Wednesday on works built at a cost of more than RD$1.3 billion, including four country and local roads, a bridge, three schools, and the rebuilt fairgrounds.

In a statement Public Works minister Victor Diaz Rúa said the chief executive will inaugurate roads La Guazuma-El Cercado-La Cueva-Los Brasitos; La Paja-Guineal-San Francisco de Macorís; Jaya-La Colonia; Tramo II- Ramales Loma de Jaya-La Malena and Loma de Macorís, as well as the bridge across La Jaya river.

He said the four roads the bridge, sidewalks, gutters and storm drains in populated areas built at a cost of RD$502.7 million guarantee transport for the zone’s farm production and improves the standard of living for Duarte province’s inhabitants.
