The number of tourists killed in the Bavaro accident rises to three

Another tourist victim of the traffic accident that occurred in the Bulevar Turístico del Este died yesterday morning, bringing the number of deaths to three.

The Argentinean citizen, Valeria Paola Medina. According to reports, died at the IMG hospital in Punta Cana.

Meanwhile, the Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that it would prosecute the driver of the bus, Franklin Nín Pérez, for the accident at the Domingo Maíz intersection.

The other two victims of the accident, which occurred in front of the Energy gas station owned by Amable Aristy, were identified as Karla Rodríguez, Peruvian, and Valeria Victoria, whose bodies were totally traumatized.

Twenty other people suffered mutilations and injuries, from which they are recovering in health centers in the area. According to a medical report, they are in “stable” condition.

The Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that at least 15 citizens were on the crashed bus. In addition, the government indicated that the Chilean consul in Santo Domingo, Rosana Garay, traveled to Punta Cana to assess the condition of the Chilean nationals and to provide them with all the necessary support.
