For the week of October 29 to November 4, 2022, the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and MSMEs (MICM) provides that fuels are marketed at the following prices:
Ramón Pérez Fermín, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, informed this Friday that the government of President Luis Abinader had allocated more than 466 million pesos to prevent dramatic increases in fuel prices for the week of Saturday, October 29 to Friday, November 4 of this year, for which reason the prices of all fuels will remain unchanged.
Perez Fermin explained that as of Wednesday, the international price of WTI averaged 85.77, maintaining an accumulated annual increase of almost 19%. “The global market looks uncertain and ambiguous, with a marked volatility that consequently makes it difficult to predict,” he explained.
With this extraordinary subsidy of 466 million pesos, the government is holding back increases from 24 pesos per gallon in premium gasoline to 73 pesos per gallon in optimum diesel.
