Church group: Medina must avoid naming officials linked to corruption

Santo Domingo.- The Christian Pastoral for Human Rights on Monday urged president Danilo Medina to avoid naming officials of the ruling PLD party’s last Administration and those who’ve been linked to corruption, in his planned substitutions on February 27.

"We believe that those who’ve spent many years in the administration must give way to others who are waiting. They should go enjoy the financial and material resources with their families," he said Pastoral president Angel Salvador Sanchez.

He said officials such as state-owned Reservas bank administrator Vicente Bengoa, National Police chief Jose Polanco, and National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) president Rolando Rosado have already played their role and must give way to new leaders.
