United States joins Foreign Minister in repudiating tragic events in Barahona’s Batey Altagracia

Santo Domingo – The Embassy of the United States of America in Santo Domingo joins Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso in repudiating the tragic act of violence that occurred on Sunday, in Batey Altagracia Barahona, in which a three-year-old child lost his life and four families were left homeless.

Acts of extra-judicial violence run counter to the Rule of Law and threaten the most basic principles of democratic governance.

We offer our sincerest condolences to the families affected.
