Police chief congratulates people for good behavior

Santo Domingo.– National Police chief Major General José Armando PolancoGómez today congratulated the people for good behavior shown during Holy Week so far, after stating that the criminal and violent acts have declined significantly throughout the country.

"So far there has been a significant reduction in crimes, and we hope that the situation will remain the same for the good of the Dominican family," Polanco Gomez told reporters in Boca Chica.

He said preliminary reports show the operation "Holy Work, Holy Week 2013" is yielding positive results in terms of the preservation of life and property.
