Remnants of Quirino Paulino’s ring brought drug from Venezuela

Santo Domingo.– National Drugs Control (DNCD) president Rolando Rosado revealed yesterday that the drugs seized Thursday morning in La Malena in Boca Chica belonged to the remnants of the ring headed by Bienvenido Guevara Diaz (Maconi), allegedly the right arm of former Dominican Army captain Quirino Paulino, being held in New York.

The DNCD chief said the cargo in question is a ton of cocaine, and so far 279 kilos have been recovered. He said the rest went into the sea, and Navy divers are searching for it.
