Tourism offer of the Dominican Republic will be promoted in 45 countries in the coming days

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, has revealed that the Dominican Republic will be featured on the tourism promotion lists of 45 countries in the coming days. Collado stated that several nations, including Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, Brazil, and others, have expressed their interest in bringing investors to the new tourism destination of Miches, establishing a university for tourism training, opening new flight routes, and signing agreements to compensate for the decline in European tourists.

Regarding Saudi Arabia, Collado mentioned the interest in knowledge exchange and facilitating financing for Dominicans to receive tourism-related training in the country. In the case of Brazil, a memorandum of understanding will be signed, with efforts to strategically recover the Brazilian market, which has seen a decline due to factors such as high inflation in Europe.

Collado emphasized the evaluation of promotion and innovation alternatives aligned with new market trends. Meetings have been held with representatives of the Meta company, who have presented the latest tourism trends globally. The company has expressed interest in collaborating with the Dominican Republic, and further discussions with authorities are scheduled in the next 15 days to present market trends.

Collado highlighted the pursuit of alternative markets, including Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia, to offset the decline in the European market. Additionally, he mentioned the interest in Arajet, a Paraguayan airline, operating flights to the Dominican Republic.

The efforts to expand tourism promotion and establish collaborations with various countries reflect the Dominican Republic’s commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings and attracting visitors from a wider range of international markets.
