Police investigate transfer of alleged thug’s body in car trunk

Santo Domingo.- The Police arrested nine agents and relieved Villa Duarte precinct colonel Jhonny Montero from his duties, for transporting the body of a man gunned down by a patrol, in the trunk of a car.

Police spokesman Máximo Báez Aybar said investigators look into why one of two alleged robbers killed Monday night during an assault of a pawn shop in that sector, was taken to the morgue in that condition.

He said the Police Criminal Investigations Division will make the recommendations in the case, but noted that a throng tried to mutilate the bodies and a possible reason why the agents placed one of them in the trunk of the vehicle.
