Amateur boxer from Santiago in critical condition after car crash

New York.- Santiago native and amateur boxer Pedro Luis Sosa, 19, underwent surgery emergency Monday as doctors struggle to save his life, from injuries sustained in a car accident which killed his sister Jennifer.

His family cried their loss yesterday Monday, but cling to hope of Sosa’s recovery.

The pugilist is in critical condition in a Bronx hospital after being hit together with his sister, 21, amid a pileup on the Cross Bronx Expressway.

Despite the good news on his possibilities of recovery, the family deeply mourns Jennifer’s death.
