Retired admiral wanted in the U.S. faces the Justices(Update)

Santo Domingo.- Retired admiral Hiraldo Guerrero refused voluntary extradition to the U.S., and was ordered to attend a hearing on January 14 at the Supreme Court.

FILE The justices of the Supreme Court are in a hearing with former National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) operations director Francisco A. Hiraldo Guerrero, wanted in extradition by the U.S.

The detainee, who arrived at the Supreme Court before 8am, should tell the judges whether he’s willing to face extradition to the U.S. voluntarily, or face trial on the request.

Prior to the meeting, the now retired admiral was taken before Gisela Cueto, Deputy Prosecutor for extraditions.
