Dom. Rep. road carnage continues: 4 dead in truck collision

Santo Domingo.- Four people died and several hurt from a traffic accident on the Duarte Highway Friday afternoon, near the Juan Bosch hospital, in central La Vega.

Local media report that the accident resulted with the driver of a truck full of liquors lost control.

Social media images show when some of the inhabitants hauled away the bottles that didn’t break in the collision.

Carnage

The crash is the latest fatality in the Dominican Republic, where deadly auto accidents have become commonplace.
