Four die in collision during chase

Santo Domingo.- Four people died, two of them from gunfire and the rest on injuries during a hot pursuit that ended in accident in the same place Tuesday in the Las Americas Highway’s lateral avenue.

Preliminary reports said two of the deceased in a SUV with official license plate and were fired on around 20 times; a third victim was a passenger of a pickup truck, which collided when the first crashed against the median, while the fourth is reportedly the driver of the pickup truck who died en route to the Darío Contreras hospital.

Three of the bodies were still at the scene as of 15am, as well as the bullet-riddled Ford SUV, plate 0-C02798, which collided with the median.
