DA’s office wants Police Chief’s “help” to question military officer

Santo Domingo.- The National District Office of the Prosecutor asked Police chief Jose Polanco’s help to force Presidential Guard officer Paulino Sanchez to appear for questioning Thursday, in connection with the sale of a truck for RD$200,000, which had been stolen from a company.

“We courteously request that you send to our Early Decision Unit Office, located in the Ciudad Nueva Courthouse, door 108, 1st floor, the officer Paulino Sanchez, to address issues related to the complaint filed by Pedro Blanco Rosario,” says the letter sent by Early Decision Unit Assistant DA, Nancy Abreu Mejía.

Sanchez is the target of an investigation for allegedly selling Vásquez a Daihatsu truck, but allegedly didn’t produce the registration.
