Dominican procrastinators crowd JCE offices to get new ID card

Santo Domingo.– Following the announcement made by the Central Electoral Board (JCE) that the old identity and electoral card (cedula) expires January 10, all offices of that identity were crowded with people seeking the new document.

The procrastinators that disregarded the advertising agency’s election campaign about the cedula renewal, crowded all the agency’s offices in an attempt to catch up.

JCE officials hope that in the days to come all offices where the important document is issued will continue to be visited by thousands of people.

The JCE offices will be closed on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 in order to allow its employees to share with family and friends on the occasion of the Christmas festivities.
