Santo Domingo.- A poll by leading news outlet elnacional.com.do found that 67 percent of its readers believe the talks between Dominican Republic and Haiti, which resume in Jimani today Monday, won’t have a happy ending, to 33% who feel otherwise.
High level representatives from both countries will cover hey topics such as trade, immigration, public safety, smuggling among others.
Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe and Dominican Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo headed the first round of talks in the Haitian town Ouanaminthe on January 7, when the Constitutional Court ruling nationality headed the topics at the meeting.
