Few showers, lower temperatures for today and Wednesday

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Northeast-east winds will continue to bring scattered showers to the country’s northeast, southeast and Central Mountain regions today, the National Meteorology Office forecast Tuesday.

It said a frontal system located northeast of Puerto Rico and moving away from the national territory will bring seasonably cool temperatures throughout the day.

For Thursday Meteorology forecasts a slight increase in rains as a new frontal system approaches the country.

It adds that small craft should remain in port on higher than normal waves along the North Coast, and those operating in Samaná Bay and the Caribbean should remain close to shore.
