Flash flood, swelled rivers, mudslide warnings for 10 provinces

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Thursday issued flash flood, swelled rivers and mudslide warnings for 10 provinces, while the Meteorology Office forecasts downpours and thunderstorms.

It said a trough over the Mona Passage will interact with a tropical wave located over Puerto Rico, bring showers to all regions today except the Northwest.

Residents of provinces Monte Plata, Samana, Duarte, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, La Romana, Hato Mayor, San Pedro, El Seibo, La Altagracia and Greater Santo Domingo were placed under alert for downpours.
