A 3.7 tremor shakes the south region

Santo Domingo.- A 3.7 magnitude tremor shook Dominican Republic’s south region early Tuesday, with no reports of damages or injuries.

Santo Domingo State University (UASD) Seismological Institute director Eugenio Polanco said the quake struck at 7:30am, and its epicenter was in the town of Peralta.

The official, quoted by elcaribe.com.do, said residents in the city of Azua reported the tremor, some of whom described it as strong.
