Puerto Rico agents arrest 2 Puerto Plata natives at sea with 102Ks of drugs

SAN JUAN. – The United Rapid Action Force’s (FURA) Marine Unit arrested two Dominicans Monday night aboard a yola type craft, and seized three bags with 102 kilos of cocaine, the Police said.

It said at 10:30pm, one mile from the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse the agents stopped the 20 foot boat and detained the Dominicans Rafael Almeida Martinez, 60, and Orlando de Jesus Salvador, 48, both from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

FURA director Edwin Rosado said the agents found three bundles full drugs hidden an in compartment and alerted the Border Patrol to start an investigation.
