Journalist Yenny Polanco Lovera’s passport goes missing at Fitur 2024

Santo Domingo.- Journalist Yenny Polanco Lovera reported today that she lost her visa-stamped passport during the recent edition of the Fitur 2024 International Tourism Fair, held in Madrid, Spain.

As the president serving a second term of the Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur), she was covering the tourism event in Madrid. She stated that on January 22, while arriving at Barajas Airport in the Spanish capital to attend Fitur, she realized her passport was missing.

“Unfortunately, I realized it when I arrived at immigration in Madrid. Thanks to our ambassador Juan Bolívar Díaz and Consul Miguel Vásquez, we were able to stay in Spain as a journalist and president of Adompretur to cover #fitur2024,” she reported in a statement.

Polanco Lovera mentioned that her passport, which includes visas for the United States, Europe, and Canada, has not been found yet. She has also filed a report with the police in Madrid and the Dominican Republic.

She concluded by expressing gratitude to all her colleagues and friends who have shown solidarity and provided moral support during this uncomfortable situation.
