Divers recover one body of trio missing at Puerto Plata beach

Puerto Plata, DR.- This Tuesday morning, Civil Defense divers successfully retrieved the first deceased body of one of the three individuals who went missing during the Easter festivities in the waters of El Bronx beach, situated in the Puerto Plata province.

The search and rescue operation involved collaboration from local firefighters, the Red Cross, and the Dominican Navy, who united in a concerted effort to locate the missing individuals.

Furthermore, authorities mentioned they are awaiting the arrival of a medical examiner from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) to conduct the identification process for the recovered body.

Emergency efforts are being coordinated by the executive director of Civil Defense, Juan Salas, along with provincial director Whascar García and Operations head, Delfín Rodríguez. They are diligently working to ensure an efficient and coordinated response to this tragic incident.

Ultimately, with the collective cooperation of all involved institutions, it is hoped that further progress can be achieved in the ongoing search and rescue mission for the remaining missing individuals.
