Opposition leader meets with senior staff to plot convention

Santo Domingo.– Opposition PRD party president Miguel Vargas met Friday with 153 of the 266 members that conform the PRD Political Committee.

Vargas said that the work of the party’s Thirtieth Regular Convention maintain a proper course, and that leaders must intensify efforts to make all PRD registered members vote on July 20.

"The PRD structure remains virtually intact at all levels: the National Executive Committee, the Political Committee, the provincial and municipal committees, as well as the mass fronts and sectionals abroad," he said.
