Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic’s women’s volleyball national team, alongside the GBC Farmacias group, a prominent Dominican pharmacy chain, announced a strategic partnership on Thursday. In this alliance, GBC Farmacias becomes the official sponsor of the Reinas del Caribe team for upcoming international events.

The announcement took place during a press conference at the Applebee’s Restaurant on Tiradentes Avenue, led by Mr. Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, president of the Selections project, and Mrs. Francisca Santana, Marketing and Promotion Manager of the GBC Group.

Present at the event were members of the national volleyball team, including Brayelin Martínez, Niverka Marte, Yonkaira Peña, Lisvel Eve Mejía, Jineirys Martínez, Larismel Martínez, Yaneiri Rodríguez, Alondra Tapia, Yanlis Feliz, Vielka Peralta, Samareth Caraballo, Angélica Hinojosa, Geraldine González, Yokaty Pérez, Cándida Arias, Florangel Terrero, among others.

Marte Hoffiz emphasized the significance of this partnership between the GBC Group and the Queens of the Caribbean, expressing optimism for positive outcomes. He noted, “The Queens of the Caribbean represent our nation, and for the first time in 31 years, we are collaborating with such a prestigious Dominican company like the GBC Group.”

He clarified that during the Olympic Games in Paris, France, the team will not wear the GBC logo on their jerseys due to Olympic regulations prohibiting advertising. Marte credited the General Manager, Milagros Cabral, for her exceptional work in facilitating these commercial agreements.

Team captain, Niverka Marte, extended gratitude to the GBC Farmacias Group on behalf of all the athletes of the Queens of the Caribbean.

Francisca Santana, representing Mr. Raymond Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of the pharmaceutical group, conveyed the company’s commitment to the partnership. She stated, “On behalf of our company, we announce our strategic alliance with the National Teams Project to be the official sponsor of the team in upcoming international events.”

Santana highlighted the honor for GBC, the Dominican people’s pharmacy, to associate with Las Reinas del Caribe brand, a team renowned for its achievements in Dominican volleyball and national sports on the international stage.

She also emphasized the importance of education within the team, noting that many athletes pursue studies alongside their athletic careers, preparing them for the workforce.

Accompanied by strategic communication advisor Vargavila Riverón, Santana expressed excitement about accompanying the Queens of the Caribbean to each event, proudly raising the Dominican flag together.
