Medina inaugurates 10 schools, announces road for highland towns

Padre las Casas, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina on Tuesday announced the construction of t he Padre Las Casas-Bohechío (west) road and repairs to 1,007 houses for as many poor families of the community.

"I don’t want to leave (office) without having Padre Las Casas and Bohechio connected," the Head of State said, acknowledging the wish of the inhabitantsof both municipalities. "I know that the only chance this road has to be built is in a Government of mine."

Medina headed ribbon cutting for the Padre Las Casas grade school and nine others in the region, where he instructed Public Works minister Gonzalo Castillo to figure out the cost of seven kilometres of road and two bridges.
