Corpus Christi is celebrated on the Thursday following the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, which occurs on the Sunday following Pentecost, sixty days after Easter Sunday. This tradition originates from the Last Supper, where Jesus Christ, on the night of Holy Thursday, used bread to represent his body and wine to represent his blood, inviting his disciples to partake. This act precedes his holy sacrifice on the cross, venerating his holiness as God’s representative on earth.
