Marisol Franco, ex-partner of César the Abuser, arrested again

Santo Domingo.- Marisol Franco, the romantic partner of César Emilio Peralta, known as “César the Abuser,” has been detained again at the Second Court of Instruction of the National District. The Permanent Attention Judge, Fátima Veloz, has postponed the hearing on the request for a coercive measure against Franco, who faces charges of criminal association. The hearing is now scheduled for Friday.

Alongside Marisol Franco, the accusation also involves Gregory Estiben Almonte, Juan Antonio Polanco, and Mario Salvador Chávez. They are charged under articles 265, 266, 379, 381, and 382 of the Dominican Penal Code.

Marisol Franco was previously connected to César the Abuser’s network. César the Abuser was apprehended in August 2019 after Dominican authorities dismantled his alleged money laundering and drug trafficking operations, following an investigation that spanned nearly three years.
