Abinader to inaugurate El Dorado Water Park in Cap Cana

Cap Cana.- President Luis Abinader will officially inaugurate the El Dorado Water Park in Cap Cana on Friday, September 13. The event will also be attended by other key figures from the business and tourism sectors, according to Ibelca Mencía, Communications and Public Relations Manager of the tourist destination.

El Dorado Water Park is set to be a premier attraction, blending thrilling water features with stunning natural surroundings and top-notch amenities. Construction began in December 2021, with President Abinader and Minister of Tourism David Collado leading the groundbreaking ceremony.

The park is designed around the theme of the legendary city of El Dorado, which has long captivated treasure seekers. The project, spanning 115,000 square meters, will unfold in three phases. The first phase includes “The Water Temple,” a water park with a capacity for 3,000 visitors, an amphitheater named “El Dorado Arena” for 4,000 people, and various dining and retail options.

Foreign investment for the project comes from businessman Carlos Cobiella and GAM Capital, a leading corporate development fund manager.
