Fire in Santo Domingo Oeste Industrial Zone

Santo Domingo.- The National Emergency and Security System (911) swiftly coordinated a response to a fire at a commercial establishment on Isabel Aguiar Avenue in the Industrial Zone of Herrera, Santo Domingo Oeste, on Thursday afternoon. Ten fire trucks from the National District and Santo Domingo Oeste Fire Departments were dispatched, along with an ambulance from the Directorate of Extra-hospital Emergency Services (DAEH), three National Police units, and two units from the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (DIGESETT), which managed traffic in nearby areas.

Through video surveillance, the 911 System’s monitoring center directed the response with precision, ensuring real-time coordination. Additional support came from EDESUR, the Santo Domingo Water and Sewer Corporation (CAASD), and the 911 Drone team, which enhanced emergency coverage and operational effectiveness.

At the scene, responders reported no injuries.
