CNSS returns contributions to members of late entry to the Pension System

Santo Domingo.- The National Social Security Council (CNSS) ordered Thursday the refund of the accumulated balance to contributors of late entry to the Old Age, Disability and Survivors Insurance.

According to El Nuevo Diario, the measure includes mandatory, voluntary and extraordinary contributions and profits generated in the Individual Capitalization Account of workers.

In a meeting headed by Labor minister and CNSS chairman Maritza Hernadez, it was released the Resolution 350-02 that establishes that members who entered into the System of Individual Capitalization of the Contributive scheme at 45 years of age or older and are now 60 and unemployed, may opt for the return of their contributions, plus the interest, in a single payment, or they can accept an old age pension.
