Cesar Pina Toribio: There’s no time for Medina’s re-election

Santo Domingo.– Presidency legal advisor Cesar Pina on Sunday said that Dominican President Danilo Medina has no time for a possible re-election.

"Personally I think there is no time for re-election. The candidacy for reelection implies making the decision as a party, summon and allow discussion throughout the country, and it gives me the impression that there’s no time to do all that," he explained.

As reported in El Nuevo Diario, Pina stressed that this issue should be clarified within the political committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD). He also expects that the organization meets as soon as possible, because it is time to mobilize the party structure for next year’s electoral process.
