Dominican judge ´took bribe´ still works as if nothing happened

Santo Domingo.- Despitethe scandal over alleged bribes attributed to suspended National District judge AwildaReyes and revealed by the Chief Justice, she continues to work in her CriminalCourt Dept. office as in nothing happened.

Acento.com.do reportsthat the judge´s clerk said she was "busy" in her office.

"She said she cannotattend you now because she is busy" doing her work normally, but withouthearings.

Chief justice MarianoGerman on Monday said Reyes had admitted to taking a bribe to release PedroBrand city councilman Erickson de los Santos on October 6, despite being indictmenton several murders.
