Easter Week: No jet skis from Puerto Plata to Bahia de las Aguilas

Santo Domingo.- The Tourism Ministry on Monday announced its traditional Eater Week ban of jet skis and other water sports in numerous beaches across the country, from Puerto Plata in northeastern Samana to Bahia de las Aguilas in southwestern Pedernales.

It said the measure aims to protect the safety of tourists visiting the country and includes a ban of business which rent watercraft and other equipment such as the Jetlev, Flyboard and the jetovator.

The Tourism Ministry resolution published in the media warns users of watercraft as well as rental companies of civil penalties as the laws and regulations stipulate.
