Fight against corruption needs stronger justice: US Envoy

Santo Domingo.- United States ambassador James Brewster on Wednesday said the best way for government to fight corruption is to strengthen the justice system.

He acknowledged however that it’s situation outside his responsibility, and an internal matter of the Dominican State.

The diplomat said his mission is to assure respected for the rights of individuals and of the country he represents.

Brewster spoke during the launch of a project to bolster the Public Health Ministry’s management capacity and the availability of services with an investment of RD$506.0 million.
