Dominican Republic gets ready to assume presidency of CELAC

Santo Domingo.– Foreign minister Andres Navarro headed a seminar-workshop delivered by a Costa Rican delegation on the organizational processes that will help the country articulate initiatives, commitments and responsibilities for the assumption of the Presidency Pro Tempore (PPT) of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), scheduled for January next year.

During the 10-hour meeting held at the Eduardo Latorre auditorium in the Foreign Ministry, the Costa Rican delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alejandro Solano, shared all its experience as head of the CELAC PPT in the period 2014-2015, including the celebration of various local and international events related to regional organization.
