Dominicans win 24 medals for 13th place in Pan Am

Toronto.- TheDominican Republic concluded its participation in the Pan American Games in Torontowith 24 medals (3 gold, 11 silver, 10 bronze), finishing 13th place in overallmedals.

Aumi Guerra tooksecond place in women’s singles bowling tournament Saturday night, while Anel Castillowon the silver in the more than 80 kilos in karate, and the bronze was won bythe women’s volleyball team which beat Puerto Rico 3-1.

On this occasionDominican Republic underperformed its performance in Guadalajara 2011, when ittook ninth place with 33 medals (7 gold, 9 silver and 17 bronze).
