Dominican Tourism Press in Santiago hosts bash for new board

Santiago.- The Dominican Tourism Press Association’s (ADOMPRETUR) Santiago subsidiary on Tuesday inducted journalist Yamira Taveras as its new president, to assumes challenge of strengthen the institution by integrating all its members

She said she assumes the position while tourism in Santiago province faces important milestones; the return of cruise ships to Puerto Plata and the formation of the Santiago Tourist Cluster, both of which consolidate the city as a major destination.

"The board that I am honored to preside over has a big challenge ahead in these two years that we must work unitedin the tourism sector, which is a first source of income and work in the Dominican Republic for Santiago and the country," Taveras said.

The new board members Yomaris Gómez, José Ernesto Devárez, Marilyn Ventura, Frank Rodriguez and Nelson Diaz were introduced in the activity held at Camp David Ranch.
