It´s a wrap: Pinewood Dominican studio film ´47 Meters Down´

Santo Domingo.-Lantica Media on Wed. announced the wrap-up of the shoot for “47 Meters Down,”an international feature film starring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt and whose productioncreated some 215 jobs locally.

The film production beganin Punta Cana, where more than 100 extras were used in scenes on location and thenmoved to Pinewood Studios in Juan Dolio (east), with offices, dressing rooms,wardrobe and makeup, in addition of the 60,500 square feet Watertank.

More than a dozendivers specialized in aquatic filming took part, some trained in Pinewood Englandthrough a scholarship program, while another 50 technicians were hired to formthe local crew.

The film´s producersMark Lane and James Harris of the London –based The Teashop Films called PinewoodStudios Dominican facilities a “world-class studio.”
