Dominican exports to climb from US$9.6B to US$10.0B this year

Santo Domingo.- DominicanRepublic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) director Jean Alain Rodriguez onTuesday said Dominican exports topped US$9.6 billion in 2015, and expects the figureto surpass US$10.0 billion this year.

The official, who announcedthe RD Export event, said it will be the largest exhibit for exportable itemsto reach foreign markets, will take place at Santo Domingo´s Sans Souci Port ConventionCenter

Rodriguez said morethan 1,000 potential buyers linked to agribusiness, construction, manufacturingand industry, health, beauty, technology, culture, government services, amongothers are expected to attend the event.

In a press conference atCEI-RD Rodriguez said the event set for June 27 to 29 will bring together companiesand local producers with domestic and international buyers by showcasingproducts, business meetings, lectures and exhibitions, to seal contracts, establishcontacts and dynamic trade between sellers and buyers.
