Two Dominican taekwondo fighters get gold, qualify for Rio 2016

Santo Domingo.- The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Pan American Qualification Tournament, that concluded Friday in Aguascalientes in Mexico, gave the Dominican Republic three spaces for Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games (5-21 Aug).

Katherine Rodriguez won the women’s over 67kg class and Luis Pie triumphed in the men’s under 58kg. Their success follows up from Moises Hernandez earning a spot for the Dominicans Thursday, following his second place in the men’s under 80kg.
