The capital’s Malecon getting new sidewalks, green areas, street lights

Santo Domingo.- The Public Works Ministry on Friday startedto widen the 30 de Mayo highway, the extension of the seaside boulevard ElMalecon, whose sidewalks and green areas will also be improved.

The work includes new street lighting and road signs from LincolnAv. to the Miramar sector, where heavy equipment work to uproot the old sidewalksince Saturday.

The boulevard’s expansion will reach the the front of the ForeignAffairs Ministry to the east, and Miramar to the west.
