Veteran journalist Huchi Lora wins National Journalism Award

Santo Domingo.- Veteran journalist Luis Eduardo (Huchi) Lorawas named winner of the National Journalism Award 2016, bestowed by theMinistry of Education with a RD$1.0 million prize.

A jury of 20 prominent journalists tapped Lora, who will receivethe prize from president Danilo Medina at a special ceremony in the NationalPalace.

The jury is formed mostly by members of the Dominican JournalistsGuild (CDP), the Ministry of Education, the heads of the Santo Domingo State University(UASD) School of Communications, and the Dominican Broadcasting Association (ADORA),among others.
