IMF is told of robust growth in the Dominican economy

Santo Domingo.- Centralbanker Héctor Valdez Albizu on Monday met with the technical delegation of theInternational Monetary Fund (IMF) in a Staff Visit the country to monitor thebehavior of the Dominican economy.

Aliona Cebotari headsthe IMF mission that will spend five days in the country and will also visit theFinance and Economy ministries, and some private sector entities.

Valdez recently laudedthe Dominican economy’s performance, announcing higher than expected growth of 6.9%from January to September, paced by mining and construction.
