‘Old man’ Colón gets a new US$12.5M deal from the Braves: report

Atlanta.- The Atlanta Braves have reached anagreement with Dominican star hurler BartoloColon, according to a source quoted by elnacional.com.do.

Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com reports thatthe deal is for one year and US$12.5 million.

Colón becomes the second former Cy YoungAward winner to join the Braves during the offseason, after R.A. Dickey agreedto a one-year contract and US$8 million with Atlanta on Thursday.

In 500 openings in the major leagues, Colónholds an earned run average -ERA- of 3.94.

The amazing 43-year-old Dominican had 33starts for the Mets in 2016. He won the Cy Young Award in 2005 with the AnaheimAngels.
