Local Dominican airline makes first flight to US in 2 decades

Santo Domingo.- The Airline Pawa Dominicana onThursday made the first continental flight to the US by a domestic carrier intwo decades, which landed arrived in Miami, home to a large Dominican community.

Pawa flight 763, which took off 10:15am from LasAmericas International Airport to Miami, is part of the route that includes twoflights from Las Americas, at 10:15am and 6:30pm, and from Miami International at5:15am and 1:30pm.

US Ambassador James Brewster and Dominicanofficials and personalities attended the inaugural of the flight at the RoyalContinental Hotel.
