Winter Baseball: Aguilas fly out of basement, soar to the top

Santo Domingo.- Santiago’s Aguilas on Sunday inchedcloser to flying out of the hell of the basement to the glory of fist place in just one year, as the Dominican WinterBaseball playoffs nears the finals.

Under Manny Acta’s helm, the Aguilas haverisen out from the ashes to lead the tournament after far behind in the standings.

At Quisqueya stadium Sunday night theAguilas’s 11-hit attack led to a 6 to 2 win -and ninth in a row- over the alsohot Santo Domingo’s Leones.
