Santo Domingo.- A San Francisco Sentencing Judge’s ruling allowed house arrest for hired killer Pedro Alejandro Castillo Paniagua (Quirinito), who managed to skip jail and later declared dead, but that veracity has yet to be determined .
Judge Aleyda Jiménez Acosta changed the sentence last May 26, from 20 years in prison to house arrest for Castillo, which was in part supported by Deputy Appellate Court prosecutor José Calasanz Morel.
Prosecutor Calasanz was in favored that: “the execution of a change in the modality of the sentence be granted to the inmate Pedro Alejandro Castillo Paniagua, based on the same medical certificates that are submitted, especially the medical certificate of Dr. Angel Garabot, who represents the Oncology Institute of San Francisco de Macorís.”
In that regard, the official was in favor of changing the jail sentence for house arrest during a period of six months, during which the convict allegedly deceased.
Castillo, a nephew of ex-drug trafficking convict Quirino Paulino Castillo, was serving a 20-year prison sentence for the murder of a Spaniard “Waikiki” in San Cristobal in 2010, in a drug deal gone sour.
