Punta Cana Airport to continue operations as long as possible

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on Wed. said it maintains normal operations, while monitoring  the Emergency Operations Center’s (COE) official bulletins and information from other agencies.

In a statement, the airport management says the risk assessments and precautionary measures contained in the terminal’s contingency plan have been set forth, and if operations are to be temporarily suspended due to weather conditions, it will adhere to the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute’s (IDAC) guidelines.

Regarding the situation of Hurricane Maria’s threat, Punta Cana asks travelers to stay in contact with their airline to remain apprised on the status of their flight and the COE bulletins.
