Immigration deports 9,332 foreigners in Sept.

Santo Domingo.- The Immigration (DGM) agency on Tue. said 9,332 foreigners were deported, not admitted and returned to their respective countries in Sept., of which 5,254 tried to enter the country by air and land, and also repatriated 4,069 aliens.

It said the repatriations were coordinated with the embassies of their respective countries, including Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cuba, Spain, the United States, Haiti, Holland, Portugal, Russia, Taiwan, and Venezuela.

Immigration said there were 335,054 entries and 422,666 departures through the airports in that period, with Punta Cana International terminal processing the highest number of passengers, followed by Las Americas, Cibao, Puerto Plata, La Romana, El Catey (Samaná), El Higuero and Barahona.
