‘Dogs understand’ ruling party rift better

F. Almeyda. File

Santo Domingo.-  “My dogs understand their role better than some of the senators,” ruling party (PLD) senior leader, Franklin Almeyda, affirmed Tues.

That was Almeyda’s response to the senators who are poised to approve the open primaries in the bill for the Law of Political Parties.

The also member of the Political Committee -the PLD’s to echelon, posted the tweet, accompanied by a photo of his two dogs.

Rebuff

PLD senator Charlie Mariotti was quick to respond, calling Almeyda’s statement “absurd and uncivilized,” adding that the role of the 24 senators who approved the bill with open primaries, isn’t to offend, but to convince. “Ours is to defend our reason, not to respond to the lack of reason.”
